Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
Try coding 0471114 (I understand this is the donor car's coding).
Then clear the DTC.
Reset the seat occupancy.
Do the basic settings for the seat occupancy.
See what happens.

Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
I think with 047114 the module is expecting a cut-off switch for the passenger side airbag. You know, the one you put your key in when you have a rear facing baby seat.
Do you have one?
Does the donor car?

Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
Mine doesn't and I've pm'd the owner of the donor car to see if his does

Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
Car is on charge now so giving it a rest until battery is back to strength.
Once it's charged will try again

Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
Yeah, I saw that. Doesn't really give us much information. Doesn't seem to affect the occupancy issue. But might explain why you get the switch fault codes when you use the donor cars coding (assuming the donor car has one).
Also, I have read that you need to cycle the ignition after resetting. So maybe do this with your original coding of 0470114:
Then clear the DTC.
Reset the seat occupancy.
Cycle the ignition
Clear DTC
Do the basic settings for the seat occupancy.

Also, you might need to set adaption channels.
I think you need to set adaptation channels 003 and 004 to active because you now have side airbags.
Try the previous post first, then maybe set the adaptation and try it again if it doesn't work.

Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
Hmm ok
That table doesn't make sense to me as for instance my code ends in 4 but unless I'm interpreting it wrong the only options for the 7th digit is 2 or 7?

Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
Unfortunately the table isn't complete. Hence the limited usefulness. It's pretty much what you posted up.
I posted that link to show the basic settings.

Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
Donor car had key operated passenger airbag mine hasn't got that.
Re: Coding for airbags on comfort seats
That explains the difference in coding then. I now believe you need to keep your original coding.
