You did mention it but it was later in the thread and I hadn't seen it until after I replied.

For what it is worth, somebody on audizine (made a simular topic over there some time ago), replied that it would be better to fully heatshield the manifolds. We have different manifolds (double shielded air gapped manifold compaired to cast one piece/pipes). Also since there isn't much room or airflow between the V, fully isolate should be better (and pray the construction is capable to widstand the trapped heat inside). I think it would be good to keep a good eye on the EGT (exhaust temps). Fact is, in my case, S6 C7 stage 2, i don't 'race' it long time and my daily trips are short....

I'm booked in for the aquamist system installation on Thursday.

Emailed loads of turbos options. Let me know if you need some direction.

Dropped it off this morning, they said it will take 2 working days. Hopefully get it back Saturday. Will take a log to assess if a new tune modification is required.

Will let you know when it's ready.

Here's some questions (and answers) I asked before installing..

Here are my questions:

1. What model of aquamist system will be installed on my car?

HFS4 ver 3.1 board

2. On what basis does the system discharge the spray? Turbo boost? Revs? Etc?

Fuel injector duty cycle (in your case the direct injectors) coupled with turbo boost pressure. The ratio of influence of either input is adjustable by a knob.

3. What size nozzle will be used?

Dual 1.2mm will be enough for 50-50 mix. If you're going with a 75-25 meth then you can go bigger but you need quad noozzles with the accompanying complications so we try to avoid 4 nozzles.

4. What warranty is given with the system?

Regular aquamist warranty as below:

Aquamist Warranty:

We will only honor a warranty claim under the following conditions:

A copy of invoice must be accompanied with a claim.

Serial number of the system should be submitted (full system)

Claim must be filed within 12 month of purchase, regardless of usage

Your first contact of a claim must be the original supplier.

Warranty is not transferable from the original owner.

Warranty does not cover physical damage, arose from incorrect wiring, faulty installation, frost damage, water ingression etc.

On another note. I must have spoken to at least 5 different tuners from around the world and all of them seem to think the Forge Charge Cooler is a waste of money and won't do anything. Strange how each one said the same things.

Also, a local garage tried to sell me the REVO intake system. I wasn't really convinced but if I got it at a good price I would have probably taken it. Upon a side by side comparison of the intakes (stock and revo), I was shocked (and he was embarrassed) to see absolutely no difference between the 2 intakes. Both we're identical except one had a small revo badge on it.

They must use the stock intake and just put a badge on it. Complete waste of money and surprising!

Exactly, the intakes are more mostly for show rather than performance. Looking forward to the results !!!

thats correct the forge cooler is a waste of time i know people who fitted it ended up going back to stock, only solution will be the mrc intercooler i think ,and agreed all the intakes have been no better than stock with a filter inside the forge intake loses 20 bhp over stock ,look forward to seeing the results for the meth and the gains /failsafes in place as meth has good gains but high rsk
