Is the symptom of it rolling forwards slightly on a downhill slope only when cold or all the time?Rich1782 wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 4:53 pmIf the gearbox jolts, there is a software update which fixes. I had it done after two occasions of sudden lurch forward after stopping at traffic lights after 30 min drive and it sorted it out, made gearbox a lot better. good way to tell if it's had it done is nose down a slope, select reverse, if the car rolls forward briefly (I.e makes you feel a bit uncomfortable) before moving backwards, then it's the crappy software.
My drive faces downwards gently and I have noticied this when I have just started the car usually from cold, engaged reverse and even though I have moved my foot from the brake to the throttle, it rolls forwards slightly before the drive it taken up. It has hill hold assist - it's as if the gearbox hadn't kept up with the auto release of the handbrake. Agree, it's slightly unnerving, especially if you are near to a wall!
It must be worth mentioning it to my dealer - is it a well documented issue, i.e will they be able to find the TPI relatively easily do you think?
