That's a question for your dealer, terms will be dictated in country.

Re: Tips on buying an used RS6 C7
There isn't one, apart from traction control off, hold brake and accelerator & go. I've only done it twice, it gets of the line very quickly without it.ics3s wrote:Is it safe to use the Launch Control on the pre-FL?

So just brute force it? Does the revs go to red limiter or does the car hold it to the optimal RPM?zzz wrote:There isn't one, apart from traction control off, hold brake and accelerator & go. Re: Tips on buying an used RS6 C7
You're holding the car on the brake. Going to the red line isn't likely to do good things to the torque converter if you can hold it.
Re: Tips on buying an used RS6 C7
On the pre-FL is the 75 litter fuel tank standard? Because i found a mentioning about it in an optional package "Convenience package"

Re: Tips on buying an used RS6 C7
With ESP off/ and oil temp above 70c, dropped down into S, you put your left foot firmly on the brake and right foot flat to the floor.ics3s wrote:So just brute force it? The revs will only rise to approximately 2800rpm and stay there. As you are holding it on the brake, you want to let go pretty quickly as you are loading up the transmission. Works well in a standard car. Very difficult to do in a tuned car as the brakes just cant hold the increased torque.

Can a dealer plug the key in to one of their magical machines and check to see the number of times the car's been launched? I know BMW can do this?

As there's no launch programme I would assume not.

The car is also so fast vs everything else on the road that 'launch' is utter overkill. I've done it once just to try the theory.

I looked on VCDS and couldn't find a counter on either the RS6 or RS3 (which has proper launch control) but the RS4 B8 does have a counter.longman h wrote:Can a dealer plug the key in to one of their magical machines and check to see the number of times the car's been launched?
