Rear seats creek & squeek
It sounds identical to my problem with the pin that locks the seat upright. Greasing it didn't really work. Did you find any residue of paint or shiney parts indicating rubbing parts i.e. worn paint, metal, plastic etc? If you fold the seat back up but don't engage it in the locking pin what does it still squeek?
Top tips Morpheous. I too have a prob with what I think is the door seals as I had the door taken to bits to investigate to no avail. I wondered if it was the rubbers. Where can I get Krytox rubber seal lube or equivalent? Does it leave a sticky residue?Morpheous wrote:I used some flocked double sided tape on the luggage cover mounting points and Krytox rubber seal lube on all the door rubbers. No noises at all now.
Noise from door seals chaffing used to drive me nuts.
Yeah this has been a prob with a lot of the S4s too, and not just the Recorro spec'd cars. You can generall tell its coming from the front seats and not the rears tho.simple1 wrote:Drivers seat can be more of an issue, I had three seat bases changed before I got one that wouldnt protest at having a FB sat on it
