It sounds identical to my problem with the pin that locks the seat upright. Greasing it didn't really work. Did you find any residue of paint or shiney parts indicating rubbing parts i.e. worn paint, metal, plastic etc? If you fold the seat back up but don't engage it in the locking pin what does it still squeek?

Silence at last ! Creamed up all the seats and greased the pins and surprise, surprise no more squeeks. The leather cream took a couple of days to settle but it seems to have done the trick. Thanks for all the advise.

Hmm sounds like we now know what caused the squeek in the first place....

Disgusting.
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.

Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.

And again C7 RS6

I used some flocked double sided tape on the luggage cover mounting points and Krytox rubber seal lube on all the door rubbers. No noises at all now.
Noise from door seals chaffing used to drive me nuts.

Top tips Morpheous. I too have a prob with what I think is the door seals as I had the door taken to bits to investigate to no avail. I wondered if it was the rubbers. Where can I get Krytox rubber seal lube or equivalent? Does it leave a sticky residue?

Yeah this has been a prob with a lot of the S4s too, and not just the Recorro spec'd cars. You can generall tell its coming from the front seats and not the rears tho.
