led drl's
PG its easy raly just locate the 2 wieres and pull this will pull the bulb and holder out just a case of fiddling about till you get the right wires and just a push fit in the drivers side is a bit more of a pain than the passengers but took about 20 min form start to finish that included removing and fitting the trim and air duct
Just make sure you pull straight on to the bulb and not at an angle i know i was reluctunt to pull hard but when straight on came out with out too much force

Just done mine, sidelights and DRL both the mirror white type bulbs from PRI - Drivers side a bitch as said before but took my time and walk away when you get frustrated, all goes back together OK and looks lots better. Slight blue tinge to the DRL bulb visible when off but not blue in use.

Yup - on the passenger side you can actually feel the plastic holder and get a grip on the plastic holder that houses the bulb. Firm steady pull and it comes out easily. Getting back in is also easy.
On the drivers side the radiator hose makes access difficult but still OK either with the right hand (fingers) locate the brown and blue wires that go up into the top of the housing (there are 3 wires but the second brown not so obvious) and go as far along as you can and pull steadily. Also if you feel better use a pair of long nosed pliers with a angled head (B&Q) you can then get a good grip and just be brave and pull!!! Getting back in is OK as well just have to be patient and will all be OK. Worth it in the end I think. Good luck.

Patience is a virtue and all that, managed to do it on the third time of trying. I think it was because I wasn't pulling them out straight by leaning over the front of the car / grille, leaning over the wings and accessing the bulbs that way proved much easier.
Agreed they are far better looking, again not LED bul better bu white light is an obvious improvement. Someone did ask at the petrol station today how my DRL's were white whereas their Mk VI golf DRL are yellow so let him into the secret.
