What is your peak MAF reading?
Mihnea - if the S4 MAF sensor can only measure up to 335g/s does this equate to a limiting factor for what the ecu can request of the engine/dictate to the engine in terms of fueling/timing/boost etc? In other words: with a stock S4 MAF the ecu will at most see 335g/s air mass/flow and NEVER anything above that - so the ecu will only ask for the max fuel/timing/boost appropriate to 335g/s air mass/flow??
Deus ex machina
My understanding is that after 335g/s the default map takes over so you don't get the spot on fueling that you would get with the MAF reading but it still keeps producing more power...bit like when you disconnect the MAF to test if it's bad or not. The best solution would be to fit a RS4 MAF but you need the Airbox, pipe, intake etc etc so I never bothered.
Just what doug told me??ZeroK66 wrote:Apparently I max the RS4 MAF sensor

Minhea, coud you post your current MAF log so I can compare it to mine - I max the RS4 MAF out at around 6500rpm.

I'll dig some logs up and post them but they're still on my old laptop (I changed laptops 2 weeks ago)...

I swapped to an RS4 maf which maxes out around 350 (jumps higher just after gearchanges though)
My typical max maf reading is 260 (repeatable), however in my logs from the other month I have a 269.81 but I have never seen it that high apart from that one occassion. Only ever done a few logging sessions though.

I know you loved it mate. Biggest screen I'd seen on a lappyS2tuner wrote:Come on David, I was in love with my old laptop, the display on it was sooooo good... and now I'm kicking myself for not buying a 20" screen one, only a 17" widescreen which sucks in comparison with the old one...
