New owner needing somexadvice
Hello ,ive just bought c5 rs6 Avant (54) from a mate who recently ( couple iof weeks) purchased it.The second day he had it the brakes failed no servo assist, has been smoke tested and appears to be leaking from left side front on engine ,under the inlet manifold.
I've read this is quite common fault and is the suction pump/ valve situated under the inlet ,would anyone have part number of it and any tips hints for other parts i need or should replace while doing this. Thanks for reading

Re: New owner needing somexadvice
Got an OEM one from LLL parts ty
I was looking at diagrams for fitting this and wonder if anyone rerouted this ,the feed comes from join at the bulk head and under manifold then comes up to the n249 with other side going to vac reservior, I'm think of replacing hose from bulk head and running it above the intake to the valve and then running new pipe to reservior , anyone tried it ? Or know why it wouldn't work.

I think you'll run into clearance problems between the top of the manifold and the inlet plenum, it sits pretty tightly together. Probably why they routed it as they did.
Unless you route it completely away from the manifold, but might look quite messy?

Hello!
Did mine last year, you should replace a bunch of stuff while the manifold is off.
The after run pump, the IAT sensor, any suspect pipes, fuel regulator, injector seals, the SJP, MAF connector plugs if needed, MAF seals, boost pipe return seals etc etc
By the way, the SJP can be re-routed to the bulk-head if you want, but it has lasted under there for more than 20 years, so I didn't bother. I think half of these SJP's fail because it's simply so hot and hostile in that area. It doesn't help that many of these after-run pumps simply don't work, thus providing no cooling for the turbos. The SJP has 3 feeds (2 in and 1 out) you would need to run 2 pipes from under the manifold up to the SJP mounted on the bulk-head. Of course the tap on the inlet manifold is facing in the totally wrong direction, so you would need to heat that up and turn it towards the rear. Another idea is to get rid of the SJP all together, block of the F connector and replace the SJP with a one-way check valve. This is what I will do if it goes again during my ownership
I can send you more info if you need - I don't monitor this forum much, so probably easier to contact me in one of the FB groups.

Re: New owner needing somexadvice
Topman and myself have recently gone through this. I got all parts from Autodoc except the injector seals which came from mr injector. https://www.mrinjectoruk.co.uk/products ... pFtiO6lwlM
Edit
I lied, the SJP came from TPS as still available as fitted to other VAG cars.

Re: New owner needing somexadvice
Thanks everyone, I will look into the other parts( was hoping for a smaller list though lol) any tips on replacing pipe clips, ,I do fancy rerouting but probably safer removing the inlet anyway just to be sure were its actually leaking,I know these valves are fitted to 1.8T and other VW Audis and never seen one fail,so I'm quite sure it simply the positioning ,must get hot under there.
Was looking through the cars history and there a invoice for the car being scanned for Grand Turismo

Re: New owner needing somexadvice
After looking at your manifold picture there no way it being rerouted without taking the manifold off,I got a mate at Audi to print of there removal diagrams, and it makes it look like the SJP it's not actually connected to anything under the manifold ( shows n249 and the reservior as being the connection ,then feeding bulkhead .
Well I will order the other stuff tonight thanks everyone
The injector dude is on holiday

lll.parts.co.uk/catalogs is a great source of information.
Re: New owner needing somexadvice
Pump is PIERBURG 7.02074.75.0
IAT is BOSCH 0 280 130 060
Thats from Autodoc
There was a post about alternative MAF seals in the forum a while ago I bought some and they are fine
Craig aka TOPMAN will probably know the Autodoc part numbers for the other items.
Just found this
FEBI BILSTEIN 173904 Fuel pressure regulator 4 bar
