Morning. I bought the sensor through E-Bay as a Genuine OEM. It was listed for a golf R32 but the same part number as ours. It looked legit as it had the audi rings engraved on the brass collar and the part number the same as the one removed, No picture showing the rings and part No. Was in a VW bag listed as Skoda i think. Will dig out an image bag in the garage.

Hmm.
About this seller

Registered as a private seller
Thereby, consumer rights stemming from EU consumer protection law do not apply. eBay buyer protection still applies to most purchases.
With 75000 sales?

Doesn't mean it's not a legit sensor, but I wouldn't trust a seller that claimed to be private to avoid responsibilities.

I think I would have got this:

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/beru/7515442

Or from a VAG dealer directly. They're not particularly expensive parts.

Febi one with the sealing rings

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/febi-bilstein/1888486

It lists the RS6 4.2 engine as a suitable application.

Yeah, Febi is OK. Beru is the king though.

Thanks both will order one from Autodoc or directly from Audi as a spare.

I have ran a further Auto scan after running the car for a good 15 minutes. I will do a separate scan on 01 engine as you suggest later on. VCDS Log taken after a 15 minute run.

Nice and clean.

Go to ECU and "measuring blocks" and see what you've got in group 032. That's your trim.

Ben.
Autodoc says the Beru sensor is not compatible for our vehicles.

The infamous CTS! That would certainly make the engine run oddly or be difficult to start.
I've replaced quite a few over the years and several have been dodgy even though they appeared 100% genuine. In the end I went to a VW main dealer parts department to get genuine.
If you do that they sell the sensor, ring and clip as 3 separate items!

The Febi one I think has all the bits together.

VAG part number 059919501A. Autodoc shows that the Beru part is equivalent.

If that’s the first scan I would be very happy with that.
As Ben has said clear the faults. Run the car for a few days and then rescan to see what comes back.

Wouldn’t be too concerned about the radio or the central locking at the moment. I have both of these error codes.
I would be looking to see if the G62 code comes back.
Especially if you have just replaced it.

I replaced my G62 sensor recently. Like you I had rough running. Sometimes problems starting the car with that error.
Thankfully after installing a new sensor my problem was cured.

Like you I cannot connect with can. I have to select the car from the list.
Cheers sounds similar to my issue and good to hear the connection by CAN and having to connect from the list is not any problem.
