RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Yeah, the PS4S are ungodly good.
I replaced the PSS on the rear of the M3 with some PS4S and it ruined my fun!

Concur, have had all sorts of tyres and they usually have some noticeable strong points and sometimes some weak ones. The PS4S are just there. You don't even notice them and if there is a weak point, it is that you can get used to great performance and then drive another car and ......

Brill that’s all I needed to read
I’ve currently got the super sports and the front are wearing on the inner edge (previous tracking issue) and almost out of tread anyway
Will get some of those when the time comes
I also presume these don’t catch on the upright ?

Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
I have them on the fronts of mine and I haven't noticed any rubbing. My knobbly is intact.
/edit: Scratch that, I'm being a nob. I have 10mm spacers on mine.

The super sports don’t rub so I’m hoping they will be ok. Anyone else answer this
How come the spacers Shop ? Did you put them all round or do you run different wheels ?

Because C6 brakes.
Also with 10mm spacers the wheels fill the arches perfectly.

Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
From memory I felt that the knob was too close to the tyre and at speed there is always some growth so I knocked a bit off the top. This is the space on mine with a bit missing, standard size tyres and OE rims.Human Joist wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 11:13 pmThe super sports don’t run so I’m hoping they will be ok. Cheers. I’ve a high power industrial style dremel so may as well nip a bit off. But will follow the advice and only a bit and leave it smooth after

My Dremel is 1980, so I was wondering what you were talking about when you said you would use one. Mine is for tiny work, intricate molds at one end and watch mechanisms at the other. The internet has since educated me to the availability of larger versions.Human Joist wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 12:12 amCheers. I’ve a high power industrial style dremel so may as well nip a bit off. The picture was just a trial fit, the finished product was a bit more professional.

Are you toying with a set? I am! If so I could look into a group buy if theres a demand for it.Human Joist wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 11:13 pmHow come the spacers Shop ? Did you put them all round or do you run different wheels ?
Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
10mm Spacers just make the car look "right" - the wheels fill the arches nicely then. And you don't need to worry about el nobbo either.

Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Potentially if it sorts el nobbo. But would depend on the look. Anyone got pictures they can provide of the fitted look ? Maybe a separate thread so as not to dilute the tyre one on here. But then again if it sorts el nobbo it achieves the same result and no more tyre issuesChrisA wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 8:11 amAre you toying with a set? I am! Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Found my tyre like this when I removed it this morning, luckily I took them off to take them to get refurbed or I wouldn’t have known about it until it was too late

Re: RS6 Tyre Fitment (please contribute)
Is it worth adding a small spacer when they all go back on to make sure this can't happen again?
