Some of you may seen this motor before, but this interior looks different for some reason, pretty damm nice really, but is the same as the other B5's

Yes, this is a pre-facelift S4 - centre console and switches are different to facelift cars - do a search for the mnay changes made to facelift cars.

Parkers states the list price new was around £36640 for the saloon.

You can view and download their own review, which gives an indication of prices and options etc.

Fairly sure mine was 42K when new. Yes that is pre face lift, identical to my interior colour and trim, I don't have arm rest though.

I have pre-facelift but my silver leather seats came with all black doorpanels and other panels. now I have blackleather/blue alcantara Recaro seats and black/blue doorpanels though which is the best combo on nogaro s4 IMO.

The new price was indeed about 36K for the saloon and 38K for the Avant, except during the very last few months of production when Audi UK officially dropped the list price by about 2K.

Don't forget this was for the basic spec, which compared to cars now and especially the RS4, was rather basic (no Recaros, basic radio, no Sat Nav, no dimming mirrors etc, etc.). So it was very easy to add options to around 40K or more. I guess that the fully loaded cars would have been around 45K/47K.

When I worked out the list price of mine, it would have been 42K (Avant, not fully loaded). When you consider that I actually paid only 33K for it (German dealer), that 2K price drop by Audi UK doesn't seem particularly generous does it?
