I've quite a bit to write up so I will do it in instalments over the next few days
Bought my 07 RS4 in the April of 2016 with 65k on it and for the first 18 months of my ownership it is/was as it left the factory with the exception of a non resonated, valved Milltek exhaust.
I purchased it off a friend who had it for seven years prior so I have known the car since it was three years old and it looked like this on the day I picked her up.
The pink badges aren't my thing but luckily it was just vinyl on top of the red that I could easily remove.
I didn't take many pictures of the car over the next year and a half and here they are
Knowing that my rear brakes had just about had it I set about looking for replacements, I had seen that JHM made replacement rotors for the front and matching two piece discs for the rear but thought the cost of replacing the rotors when needed would be costly due to the $100 postage, import duty and vat etc.
That's where I stumbled across a listing on eBay from reyland advertising their front rotors at a great price and I called them to see it they would make some rears which they agreed they would if they had the dimensions of a standard disc.
After finding what I could off the Internet and measuring my own discs I had something I could work with and modelled myself a set when at work.
And after all that reyland bought a set of discs and measured them themselves
And here they are after a couple of weeks.
Fast forward to September the 20th 2018, three weeks before my wife was due to give birth to our second child and as I was to be off work for a month planned on having lots of garage time (how naive was I?)
I finally managed to clear the garage out to get the car in and got it jacked up on axle stands with the help of a friend ready to change the brakes.
And that's where I will leave it for now, still getting used to uploading pics so it's taken me an hour to get this far
