If anyone's looking for an installer in the North West - Autowatch or Clifford, I can recommend Paul @ www.pl-autotek.com
He's based in St. Helens and installed a Clifford system for me a couple of years ago - no problems at all, left my car with him for a couple of days so he could take his time over it...

Mike

Ive been chatting to him as well nuve chap and knows his stuff. I feel the pandora is a better ststem when i have done my home work
How did your install go Neil?

May I ask, what sensor?
My tilt is triggered periodically. Even on almost lowest setting. Usually at night.. a little confused.

I had my install by Anthony as I'd said i didn't want the guy who caused issues with the other members car.

Almost went perfectly but couldn't get the remote start to work as Anthony wasn't aware that i was having it and didn't have the firmware to get it working, he installed it all but car would shut down after a few seconds so he removed all the equipment and said they would send someone back out to reinstall at a later date. We haven't confirmed a date of that yet but i'm sure it will happen, i wasn't keen on the remote start at first but as my daily driver getting it warmed up in the winter is needed. I went for the new silver package but had to turn the internal sensor off as i sometime leave my dogs in the boot.

Anthony was here from about 10-7 as he tried in vain to get the remote start to work, I don't know how installers are doing this without a garage, the light went at 4pm and it would of been a nightmare for him if he was outside(bloody cold too).

We had similar issue.
Is this when you start with a key normally? Remote start should work fine.
It’s the immobiliser. Basically what’s happening is that the immobiliser box that connects to the clutch switch (needed for remote start and contains your spare key decoder) backfeeds signal to the ring. And because you have your key present at same time, car thinks it’s been cloned and shuts of. You should be able to see SAFE on the dash next to Odometer. We installed a diode in-line and it fixed the problem. A sort of one way resistor. So it let’s signal from box to clutch switch but not other way round.

From what I see the problem was that when he used the fob to remote start the car would fire up but then after several seconds switch off? He couldn’t get round it and said it was to do with firmware.

I would like it though so I’m going to get them back in January to fit it correctly.
