Are they rears too ?
400mm? Of course not!
No, but a smaller size obviously. All the other RS models with Ceramic option have the rears too, so I'm assuming the Rs4 just caught up
Would've been nice to get Front & Rears. But the B9 RS5 has Fronts only and the rears get a colour coded grey calliper this time around. Doubt it will change for the RS4, as I'm yet to see one in person.

I won’t be going for them again anyway. As nice as they’ve been to have, and the unsprung weight benefit is tangible in the handling, they’re also a ticking time bomb for high mileage users like me, and most of my driving is Just pottering about in reality

You really clocked up that many miles now Graeme? Ceramic discs should be good for well into the 100k mile area and totally agree on the unsprung weight improvements. One thing to point out from my experience with the B9, I found the virtual cockpit display far too bright at night time even on the lowest brightness. So much so, I'd have to get window film tint put over it. I do however love the HUD with Oil temp and that the rear load cover retracts automatically when the boot opens.

Another successful 'tuber review is now up. I'm starting to wonder if any of the journo big boys, actually got invited out there?

I'm on 52k now, and although they're supposedly good for 100k miles, I'm very conscious that if I get a problem with them, I'm now well past the stage where I could expect any goodwill from Audi on a warranty replacement, and a new set of discs is £6,400 a pair

That guy is painful to watch. I got as far as him calling his followers a 'Schquad' and nearly threw my laptop off the desk

Did notice that none of the big journo's have had their reviews yet. It seems that it's getting a good write-up so far. Styling wise, It's growing on me, noise wise it gets worse every time I hear it...

I'm still on the fence over what is next for me - so much so that I'm looking at what is next after next (thinking major upgrade to the B8 now, then possibly step back to B9 or next gen RS6 after that...)

Given the longevity of the B8, I can see this model sticking around for a good 5 years...

The big journalists and press publications will be given press cars to drive and keep for a period of time, but it was announced internally last week that these cars have been delayed. They were due to be given so the cars could be tested/used over the Xmas period, but that hasn't yet transpired. Audi UK have not given any details as to why.

Yes, sorry about that.

Also, you can get Ceramics refurbished for circa £1k a disc now, if that helps the decision on them.

To be honest, I'm not using the car in a way that would benefit having Ceramics any more, so can't really justify the outlay.
I'll be going fairly bog standard Carbon Edition spec with Nogaro blue paint and reversing camera, and an extra few £k for ceramics would make it a much more expensive car than I can really justify spending.
My car reached 3yrs old back in Sept, and I've extended the warranty for another year, so I'll look to get my order in sometime after christmas with an aimed delivery for the new plate launch sometime around March/April

Shame you've just done Red, as £2400 for Nogaro would buy a few options. You not tempted to go Exclusive paint for the same price?
