Air lowering kit

Post by Zeebuilder » Sat Mar 19, 2016 8:26 am

Hi,

Looking through eBay and came across theese air lowering kits for cars with air. I know it's been talked about trying to lower with VCdS without much luck but I was wondering if anyone has used or had experience with this kit??

Cant get into the secret menu on the FL RS6. I have tried loads but stuck. Searched Google for hours but there seems to be no solution for now.

That's what I am going to use.

RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp

I understood that Lowering with VCDS does not require access to the hidden menu? I guess it is differnet on a FL?

Well yes and no. You can lower it a fraction but the problem is when above 35mph ( or there about) the car goes lower Adair if in dynamic and triggers an error as its too low. You need the menu to turn that feature off

Is the error unique to the FL? I have "a friend" who lowered by 17mm and has had no issues on a Pre FL.

Yes, the security code to access the module is alreayd known for the pre-FL cars. The FL has a different code which is still unknown.

When my "friend" lowered his there was no need to access the hidden menu, all the changes were done in VCDS. Above circa 35mph there is no warning on the pre FL. So is the "too low" alert unique to the FL?

I believe that my "friend" lowered by 15mm all round not the full 17mm as I said before.

Sounds like it. I will lower mine this time home and report back. I did not bother because of what I read.
