Loads of articles on this. Years ago they did testing on a new CBR900 blade. Easy run in and nailed from the start. nailed from the start made more power and used less oil
my car was nailed from the word go.
I run my karts in, in much the same way. Easy 1st lap of the track then nail it. I see loads of others doing 10 to 15 laps gradually upping the speed. Too last damage is done. My engines are always very strong.
