Totally agree. If they confirmed the RS6 Performance Edition was going to be available in Saloon, i'd be transferring a deposit across immediately.

Fingers crossed the C8's available in Saloon form.
I did put this question to someone from Audi uk a while back, more specifically relating to the RS4 being avant only
The long and short of the answer was that having a coupe RS version (in this case, an RS5) does wonders for the sales of the normal A5's, and it's that model over the A4 where more optional extras are ordered. As we all know, there's significantly more money to be made in customers spec'ing up a car than selling dozens on boggo spec A4's to company car drivers
I'd assume the same could be said for the A6 and A7

That's good info Graeme & makes perfect sense, albeit still a frustration as personally as someone that has no need for or attraction to Estate cars, i dislike the Audi Coupes even more.

I see why Audi do it but its still annoying that we don't get saloons cos they'd rather make a coupe / fastback RS to sell more A5/7 than make an RS for the people who actually want an RS.

In saying that, times are changing, so who knows what might come with the B9 RS4 and C8 RS6. The RS5 wasn't a great success sales wise, and likewise for the RS7, so they may rethink their strategy entirely. I'm sure there's a number cruncher in a dark office in Germany, who can correlate subsequent lower model sales to halo models in a numerical format, so if the potential for sales and profit on a RS4 and RS6 saloon are a decent number too, then we might see this model next time round
Only time will tell...

OY are cars handled by Paragon and registered in Oxford. These are press cars/fleet cars

KN cars are handled by VWG and registered in MK and typically are staff cars but also can be press / fleet cars.

Phew, as was sure O* prefix cars were press cars, but the KN/MK i'm confused about as KN means they're registered in Maidstone, Kent. I'm assuming the M* prefix is Milton Keynes?

Hardly matters i guess but would mean this bargain RS7 is registered in Maidstone so surely isn't an Audi Fleet Car?

K = Luton and Northampton
M = Manchester and Merseyside
G = Garden of England, Kent. Maidstone registered cars would have a G prefix.

I feel suitably embarrassed. In my defence i googled KN Prefix & that page popped up but it only gave a description which said KN = Maidstone, hence my errors. I have fully reprimanded myself & downed a couple of large vodkas as punishment. :beerchug:
