Not quite sure how they fitted onto the car but from what Carl was saying at the time it wasnt too difficult (they fit to the back of the hub somhow). Regards the splash plate, if your running with movits or the gmbh disc you need to take them off as they also stop air from cooling the disc. Carl had the ducts on his car still when he had his movits btw.Jani wrote:You may also need the splash plate of the discs, not sure whether the RS4 splash shield fits with the duct.

That is correct ,the disc size will not matter as the air is forced into the centre of the hub.jani wrote:
The brake discs of Phaeton are only 345 mm, but maybe the cooling ducts can be modified to fit. Besides, the air intake is from the middle, so the difference in size shouldn't matter too much.
It's not the exposed surface of the disc that you are looking to cool down from the addition air, you actually want the veining to pick it up to give an even rate of cooling though out the disc. Some of the one I have seen on race cars have the ducts at the front of the car with flexipipe running all the way upto within a couple of mm away from the centre of the disk not the disk face.
cheers for the part nos ...
