What's the correct wheel alignment spec for the RS4 ?

Post by CaptainLeadFoot » Mon Jun 08, 2015 4:23 pm

There are a lot of references for B5 and B8 but nothing for B7 :(

I had one done at the stealer today and said my toe angle was way off so they have to reset my subframe...the final results looks similar to a B5 but they gsave me a B8 spec on my alignment data sheet... :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

My current specs are:
FRONT
Toe L/R: 0°10'/0°10
Total 0°20
camber L/R: -1°06/-1°11'
caster: 4°00'/4°16

REAR
Toe L/R: 0°10'/0°09'
Total 0°20'
camber L/R: 1°20'/1°22'
thrust angle 0°00'

Does this sound ok ??

Had mine put on a Hunter machine the other week, everything was all in order so nothing needed changing. Not sure if this photo will help you or not:

The small numbers in the corner of each section tell you the ideal range.

Thanks for the info Mike, makes sense now.

Not really looked at the paperwork since I got it done, had the alloys re-done and new rubber so thought this would be handy to have. Only £6 as nothing needed doing.

I let the Hunter system pull the base settings for 2ME sports suspension - it seems just fine to me...

I believe if you have lowering springs or something similar on then you will also need front adjustable arms fitted too or you won't be able to achieve the right setup as the standard setup doesn't have the available adjustment. I am sure someone one here will have a more comprehensive idea and be able to explain it better.

Reviving this thread as it popped up in my search for alignment, you can only adjust toe front and rear from the factory.
You will need adjustable upper arms (you can find them for front and rear) to adjust camber.
Here is a quick video showing the stock alignment procedure:
