I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm posting this on the correct section.
Well I've been shopping around for a used S4 B8 and came across a 2007 RS4 b7 with 79,600 k miles on it. I went to go see it at the dealer and after reading the maintenance logs, I saw NO carbon cleaning done on the car. That's 1. Two, I also noticed that on the last visit to the dealer, the tech stated on the report that the car was in need of serious repairs. He stated that the Oil Cooler and two lines needed replacing because they were badly rotted. He also said the oil cooler needed replacing as well. Three, He also stated that a power steering line rack? was rotted too and that it needed replacement. I also noticed that the rear wheels are a bit worn on the inside. The car has stock everything from what I and my buddy who is very familiar with audis saw. The dealer is asking $32k U.S dollars for the car. And they do not want to deal with any repairs. The glove compartment is broke on one of the hinges which I hear is a common thing. The driver seat looks a bit beat, but not terrible - just normal wear. My question is, how expensive is it to repair the oil cooler, lines, power steering lines, and carbon cleaning (Since i'm sure its never been done)??
Is it worth it getting myself into this car? I'm sure I can negotiate the price, but I figured I'd ask here for any suggestions and advice. I like the car a lot, but I don't want to get into something that will become a money pit. I understand there is going to be maintenance too. And in a way, the repairs seems to be maintenance issues.
Thanks!
