Doug_S2 wrote:you need the gearbox hot - I bet the more runs you do the power comes up - but then you have to be careful you don't heatsoak the engine and it makes less (proper pita for the turbo cars stopping heatsoak with multiple runs) the b8s usually do 420-440ps on our dyno
May well be but the other b8 did over 420 with winter tyres on (more drag it's said). The other thing, his dyno don't do wind down so are these figures whp? Still Doug, mine left you with 430 bhp and 330 lb/ft and after at least 17k miles since last carbon clean it's looking ok and all dyno's read slightly different of course :)

measuring rundown is just one more step to remove something that changes - the drivetrain losses with temps etc. someone should have logged every car and then you can justify the power and torque numbers each car does on the dyno.

Just looking at ur figures and it's close to 5% different. Conditions? Dyno differences? Any who, add 5% to my result and I'm back to 430 :)

winter tyres in my experience mean as much as 20ps less at the wheels.

445HP vs. 490PS for me, but clearly not running at its best, judging by the air coming out of the back during the run.
charge coolers need to be super cool to start with or big power differences - still on same fuel? Charlie gets similar numbers to our on the b8s so something not right - and you didn't rev to 7200 limiter.
Yeah, still on fresh Momentum99, although had some VPower through the system previously (should have been long gone by the run, though, as emptied the tank right down then filled it with momentum and drove it for 150-odd miles a couple days prior to the run).
Yeah, something not quite right - I'll need to get it in to you for a health-check. :?
