S mode

Post by bobbyRS » Sun Dec 28, 2014 4:06 pm

Hi. Hope this isn't a stupid question, if pop car in S mode via the gear stick, does that activate full dynamic mode for engine/gearbox or just gear shifts?
In my individual setting on ADS I've got dynamic mode for engine set but it doesn't always start in S mode on gear indicator - usually in D. Hope this makes sense!
Thanks

Hi Bobby
It'll always start in d
If you select S it'll just hold the gear longer and open up the exhaust valves if you have them in dynamic (the car will always start with them closed, but once you select S on the stick, they'll open, and stay open even if you re select D)
Hope that makes sense

They won't when in Dynamic mode. They will close when selecting D in the other modes.

you could always set your individual car settings to have exhaust valves open and leave everything else in auto...

then it (should) start up with again in the last setting used..

I have it set on individual for exhaust open, but I still have to press the drive select to go into dynamic and back again to individual or pull back into S and back again to D to open them. Seems it won't start up with the valves open.

i fixed this on mine by :bigblink: opening the boot lift the floor panel and look down on the left hand side at the vac ball then disconect the vac pipe that goes to the valves, valves now always open but dont forget to plug the pipe/ball :beerchug:

Can you not "crimp" the pipe with a cable tie, should have the same effect?
