Yep. Only give away is the speedo in kmh and that ain't enough. The rest will 'appear' to be normal with registration style.

There's some greedy mo-fo's out there...

Really  In the absence of the cost being advertised of course, I never knew that. That'll be a tidy hike... of eleven big one's...

You can't change the speedo scale with VCDS, perhaps a slim chance with the odometer. According to a third party it's circa £900 to get a UK binnacle fitted by Audi.

You don't need VCDS at all for any of the digital conversions.

To switch between MPH and KMH - the 'Units' in the DIS simply needs changing to MPH > KMH or vice versa and the odometer, trip and distance to next service is reclauclated. The only giveaway is the analogue speedometer - the inlay is primarily 'MPH' printed for the UK next to the higher end of the scale (180/200). The MPH scale is white with the secondary KMH in red. Non UK versions are primarily all white numerals with KMH being the larger and even the secondary MPH is white being the smaller numerals.

Sam, not sure you need a new binnacle fitted just new inlays, but even so, a bunch of work to change the inlays - unless Parkway have done this work (I doubt) to 'mask' accordingly and re-calibrated the speedo it would annoy the hell out of me personally...

Interestingly, non of the adverts show the cliché up close binnacle shots found in adverts - that would give it away. You can just make out the all white inlay and the 'KMH' at the TDC of the scale on the OP images...

Neil, I don't believe KMH cars have the secondary scale so it'd need a new instrument cluster to read MPH, I imagine the temperature scale will also be in fahrenheit.

Best I could quickly find:

***Edit***

I'm wrong about the temp scale as looking at the above it's the same as all others (odd)?

but here is a better one of the Speedo

Sam - you are totally right. That image I got and highlighted above, was from the OP image. I assumed the smaller and larger numbers were a mix of MPH and KMH as I couldn't see the entire dial - good find.

If that's the case, thats even worse as there's no way of reading MPH on an open road and surely (from my days of Mitsubish Evo5 days) is non-MOT compliant?? How would you know how fast you are going on a UK road?

Resolve would surely be an inlay and re-calibration? I think inlays are available?

He's done bloody well to take a steady shot of the speedo at nearly 170mph!
