Yes. Getting them to work together above a certain threshold is nose-bleed stuff, apparently. At leaset it was with Darth, I wonder what the 778HP manual uses... I really should get to know it better.
No matter where you go, there you are.

So if moving away from the OE fuel pumps it would be the case that 2x 044's are needed , or does one 'run' the other ?
Hence also asking about tweaking a map and if more fuel being supplied (or at a greater pressure) would deem the original map void ..

Getting on for 800hp must indeed be a headache !!

1x 044 would do the job up to 650hp. Before the fuel gets to the injector rails it goes through a regulator that keeps it at the correct pressure (relative to boost pressure) so the tune/mapping of the car is unaffected. So as long as the pump can supply the volume of fuel the engine wants without dropping below say, 5 bar, it's all good.

I wander if you'd get an fault code come up if you changed the two pumps for one.

Both pumps are also controlled to switch between 10v and 12v (depending on engine conditions), but fuel pressure is kept constant by the pressure regulator on the fuel rails.

There's a bit more about how they work in the study guide in Footers directory.

So i went to the Audi stealer nearby to get the fuelfilter...

Good morning sir, i need a fuelfilter for my 2003 Audi RS6

''Good morning, i need a license plate or chassisnumber''

Well, its a 2003 RS6 non plus version.

''I need a licenseplate or chassisnumber cos there are loads of types and versions of it''

It is for my RS6 from 2003 non plus, only one version available. partnumber starts with 6N and ends with 511A from memory.

''I still need ...i will have a look...''(in system...slightly bored and annoyed...)

Its a V8 twin turbo.

''Is it diesel or petrol version''

No its bi fuel (now im bored to...)
Its the one with the solar roof for the optional hybrid functions...and air suspension...

''I see only one version, petrol''

Ended conversation, will be delivered next Monday...

I try to avoid dealers at all costs. Wouldn't mind, but when being charged what, c£150/hr for professional service, there really is no excuse
