They say they can register the car on my plate straight from the retention certificate. I thought they couldn't do that anymore? But I'm not going to question, so long as it's done.

Blimey, That's a lotAndy_S wrote:Slight thread drift, but I phoned up Audi insurance today to take out their complimentary 7 day insurance and get a quote for the full year. I was with Audi insurance on my old S4, up until 8 months ago when I changed over to BMW insurance, previously they were slightly more than others but still reasonable at around £850...
Quote for the RS4.....£3100!! Wtf![]()
Phoned up BMW insurance who I'm with currently, although both Audi and BMW insurance are in fact Allianz, they won't even touch it without a tracker!
Compare the meerkat, £410 with Tesco, and I get a free cuddly toy! Although in the end I paid a bit more with Admiral for a lower excess.
Just for balance I should say that I had a £2.5k fault claim in October last year when a digger got in my way and I had to nudge it a bit!
I believe their logic is that by doing less miles you're more likely to have an accident as you're not driving enough. But then of course, they'll also raise your premium when you start to do more mileage, because you're driving more & thus more likely to have an accident.Graeme4130 wrote:Admiral are decent, but they charge you a fortune for every slight change
We had a multicar policy with them and tried to change my mrs's countryman from 10k a year mileage to 4k a year as she hardly drives it and thought we'd get the policy costs down and they actually wanted to put it up and then charge me an admin fee for doing it, crazy
