From my point of view I feel 250ish is actually fair enough in real terms but it punderperforms against other chips on the same day, for example on AMDs rollers (where they ask whats in your car) Pauls AMD car got 270+ bhp when mine got 251 bhp - big difference for two cars with remaps :(

Makes you want to change maps but ultimately I dont believe it is really worth changing because I dont trust anyone and then again whats a few hp amongst friends!

250hp odds is what you would expect from an S3 running standard exhaust and cats.

Barry, can you check these Lambda/fueling readings with Vag-com as well? There are certainly measuring blocks for the lambda sensors.

Don't forget guys, we still have this thread where we are asking for any RS4 owners to do some logging on their cars - tuned or stock...

when i get back from Hong Kong next week I'm going to invest some more time in logging mine and a couple of cars that are based near to me.

Also Barry, which other dynos have you used to verify your results?

Barry do you think CATS/exhaust would make a difference (on a S3)?

Barry,
What sort of boost are you having to run to get that power ?

I have just had a look at the Star website, their RR is a Maha one also.
It would be very interesting to see a copy of your plot barry to compare things
such as the rotating mass and correction factor figures.

I'd be very interested to hear what boost levels you run to get that power.

also what kind of fan or coling system do Star run on there Maha dyno,is it the standard Maha fan?

whilst referring to the subject of boost, what is considered to be a 'Safe' boost level on the RS4 using the stock KO4 turbos?

for example, is running at 1.55 bar boost at 7k revs considered to be OK?

Running very similar boost to the MTM map 1.5bar peaking at 1.7. The boost wasn't the issue with the MTM map in my car it was the over fueling which inturn affected the power.

The main difference with the boost on the StarP map compared to the MTM one is when that peak of 1.7 comes in. The MTM map had a quick burst at 1.7bar lower down the rev range where as the StarP map actually bears a stronger resembelance to the standard RS4 map where the peak boost is higher up the rev range.

Graph attached - appologies for the crappy scan my scanner ain't up to much!

2 Large 100mph fans with more than sufficient ducting sooking in good cold east coast air! And a seperate ducted fan. Seen better but it does the job.

Nope it doesn't feel laggggy at all tbh. Makes and holds 1.5 bar and then rises to 1.7 at about 4500revs feels like a cam coming on -really nice to drive.
