What's the life of ceramics?

Discs & pads?

I've got a figure of 100k in my head, but not sure if that's right?

Road use .... 200k discs, 40k pads

Track use, half it.

Vmax use, third it

That makes the initial outlay very worthwhile if we're talking 20k for normal discs at a £1500 replacement cost
Mmm, I wonder what a retrofit cost would be ? I'm assuming they use different calipers too (besides the colour)

I think the main thing I was getting at was pumping all that extra money into the 4 just to get up to a RS6 level hp but more importantly more torque, but you would still need to put on a full exhaust system and high flow air filter to make full advantage of the charger, so if you selected say a miltek with all that your now at about 15k, can the 7 speed dsg box handle all that extra torque ? .

Obviously with all this you have just waved goodbye to any Audi warranty, I know you can't compare the 4 to the 6 regarding size and comfort etc but that's not the goal here, performance is

But the screaming noise of a supercharged V8 would be nice on the ears, but can't decide what noise I prefer, a spooling turbo or whining charger ;)

The 4 and 6 are very different cars regardless of power
Even if they both had the same power, then they'd still be two very different cars in both size and character

Yes the s-tronic can handle it. I know of RS 5s which are charged with no reported issues, yet . . .

The stronics strength is unknown that's why the torques pegged back on the supercharged cars.
