What other mods have you done? To get the most out of a map some changes to the exhaust system is recommended.

Even with a zort upgrade you will only get around 20bhp extra i think. Alot of money for very little back, thats why i didn't have mine done (plus i'm a tight arse)
FON and as bam says, RULE 1!!
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

To get the best from a remap your best to gut the precats first as they are so restrictive, fit an aftermarket exhaust as the standard back boxes are also quite restrictive then get a remap. Hope this helps.

I finally got round to flashing the car today with a JHM 91 octane tune. I have catless DP's and Miltek. It's certainly woken the car up. Will be interesting to see what dyno says..

Sounds awesome.

People need to realise you can now flash the jhm tune over the Internet in your driveway. Just order the tune and a cable, and it gets mailed to you. Then log in to their server.

I have a cable and a friend used it to tune his rs4. Took 30 minutes or so.

MRC are over expensive compared to AmD. I'm here at AmD as just dropped Mr T in for a load of work. MRC were £1000 dearer for the exact same work. Sorry but that's taking the piss. Granted they are good but no way are they 33% better as that's how much dearer they were than AmD

Have you used Mrc to be able to come to such conclusion?

I had my B7 S4 remapped by MRC, great guys and great service and hopefully I'll be taking my C6 RS6 there soon. IMHO though it's not worth remapping the B6/7 S4 at all. I spent £1000 on an exhaust and roughtly the same from memory on the remap and filters and other than volume it gave no noticable improvement at all. It's just not worth the effort and expense, either spend some real money and supercharge it, buy a faster base Audi or enjoy it as it is. It's not exactly slow in standard form?!

Will a stage 1 re-map not result in better fuel efficient(marginal though I am sure) and smoother power delivery?
