RS6 Vibration when passing 70mph
Re: RS6 Vibration when passing 70mph
Had a word with the dealer , he freaked out a bit when I told him that Liverpool Audi said that in their opinion the car is unsafe and he is going to pick up the car fixed and bring it back . After that I will go to Unit 20 just for a peace of mind re-check.

That sounds possibly like a Propshaft CV joint that has dried up and has some play.
I had the same thing on my Audi S8. When I pulled the trans out to fix it, I noticed that the front CV joint was as dry as a bone and stiff to move.
Fingers crossed that you get everything fixed at the dealer where you bought the car.
Good luck.

I'd be inclined to put up with a bit of a shudder at 70 , plant the right foot and put it down to the road surface...sounds priceyRS2 wrote:That sounds possibly like a Propshaft CV joint that has dried up and has some play.

Sorry... I was pulling the trans out to fix the trans... not fix the propshaft!
My apologies. The propshaft is a lot easier to get at. Exhaust off, heat shield off and you're there.
