More interested in the value of it. As previously mentioned, you had to think long and hard and I'm guessing that was based purely on the financial aspect.
IF I had that amount of money to (for want of a better word) spunk on something, it'd take a lot to keep out of the Ducati showroom

Its a good point Pete and was a decision that I didn't make lightly as you'd imagine. It kinda made it a little easier (or less obvious financially!) on myself by effectively doing it in stages so it wasn't quite so painful. If the PES hadn't 'come along' and allowed me to try supercharging at a very affordable price first I truly do not think I would ever have went out and spent @16k in one swoop on the TTS. However, if you really like the B7 RS4 as much as I like mine, and feel there is nothing else out there (of that type of car)that appeals to you, and you really don't want to or have to sell it, what do you do? You make it 'interesting' again by fitting a supercharger!
If I was to fancy for example the new RS4(which I don't) and chose to buy one of a simlar spec to my current car (70k ) the depreciation on that in the 18months will be far greater than the cost of the TTS, and remember, the TTS is something I can always take off and sell easily as there will be quite a demand for a 2nd hand charger I'm sure. A personalised and TTS charged B7 RS4 is going to be a far more special piece of kit than a basic B8 RS4. I haven't even driven my car yet so I can't say if its money well spent, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it,- a lot!
Yes I thought about keeping it standard and quote,- "spunking" the money on something else like a MK1 or MK2 RS Escort for which I still have a serious liking but physical space does not permit as I already have something else in the garage and I've only got room for 2 cars.
