S4 H&R Suspension Adjustment

I have H&R suspension fitted to my car. When QST fitted it, they lowered it 30 mm. Annoyed with the constant grouding out over speed bumps and ramps, I got the suspension spanners out last night and increased the height. I then took a series of measurements. I measured from the top of the wheel nut cover (standard avus wheels), where you can hook you metal tape measure in nicely, to the top of the wheel arch. The measurements are:

Passenger Side Front: 18.5 cm Driver's Side Front: 18.1cm
Passenger Side Rear 18.6 cm Driver's Side Rear: 18.2 cm

The problem is that I didn't take these measurements before I raised the suspension, so I don't know how much I've raised it (Note:1 cm on the suspension thread does not equal 1 cm in ride height). Could some kind soul with an S4, with standard suspension and standard wheels, please take these measurements for me, so I can have a benchmark to work with for future adjustment.

Should really measure the distance from the adjuster to the base of the thread, the wings may not be the same height.
Adjusting the NSF will affect the OSR etc.
Best option is to set it up with corner weight scales.

So what's NSF and OSR then? Not too sure if I'm measuring the right thing. If somebody will tell me the best thing to measure, and what the base settings on a standard S4, then I will use this as a basis for further adjustment

Druggie, I'm basically trying to find the best compromise to avoid scrapping the car at the moment. However, for you it will depend on the speed hump and ramp situation in Melbourne, with which I'm not familiar with. When I eventually get what suits me, I'll post a message.

I think Morpheus is right. Whenever I have measured ride height to the wings I get different figures on each corner. I assume this was because the ground was not perfectly level. However if the wings are also not equal...

OK, point taken on the wings and the ground. I can measure the the distance between the adjuster and the base of the thread as suggested but I want an accurate measure of ground clearance, as a 1 cm movement on the thread may not (and according to QST does not) equal a 1 cm movement in ride height. So I suppose my question is what is the ground clearance on a standard S4 and how is this measured?

Right, the techie US Audi sites list the ground clearance of the standard S4 as 3.5 in (90 mm). Is there any reason to suspect that this will be different in the UK? Also, how do you measure this? Is it just the lowest hanging point? The exhaust? I suppose it is really, as this is the thing that will catch.

The US spec S4s ride noticably higher than European S4s, if you park the two nose to nose one looks to be noticably higher off the ground than the other. I wonder what Aus got?

Nobody is interested in this question. You all find it really boring, don't you? You don't care about the height clearance on a Standard S4, do you? You are all interested in lowering your suspension and scrapping your exhausts. Nobody can be bothered to measure the ground clearance or look in an old S4 brochure for me

Wow there boy, calm down.

My standard S4 wheel arch edge (highest point) to ground was 68cm front and 67cm rear.

After AmD had fitted H&R coilovers it reduced to 63cm front and 64cm rear.

BS, I used to be concerned about scraping my exhaust, but not any more. It sounds much worse than it really is.
