Anyone got any recommendations for getting wheels balanced in SE london? I get a vibration at around 78mph.
I've already taken it to one local place that totally f****d it up and gave me chronic wheel shake at 60, so got it undone and took it elsewhere but it hasn't sorted it. But they also told me the front left is warped, but would just like another opinion from someone I trust really!

Just be wary of what tread you've left on your tyres... anything less than 4mm and its very very difficult to balance properly from the natural wear of the tyre.

I have buckled a god few alloys in my day, are you sure you haven't hit a nasty pothole, gone a bit too quickly over a speed hump etc? Done wheels on both of those before so it isn't far fetched at all and a total beatch to balance out if at all.

I had this when I first got my car. Turned out to be the tracking, not balance. After having the toe-in adjusted, the ride was perfect again.

I had the tracking checked at the second place they said it was fine, although they mentioned that the wheel was warped but had balanced it out so I shouldn't feel anything. I don't like the idea of a buying a new wheel just at the moment!

I have the same problem and have had a 4 wheel alignment and wheel balancing done and still get vibration around the same speed.
I assumed that I had one or more buckled font wheels which I will try to sort out next...

ive balancing my wheels twice in a row, because after the first time there was still vibration at +/- 100 km/h...
If you can't go to the track, bring the track to you.

I was going to go with 20" S8 alloys but based on the shat roads here and the fact that I drive it like I stole it quite a lot I am fearful of bottoming out all the time but I don;t want to get more forgiving 19" bimotos just to find that I make them egg shaped at the drop of a hat!

While very happy with the Bimotos, probably getting these in the future...(although the comfort will be dramatically worse, ive noticed already going from 18 to 19 inch...)

This is one of my fears too! I am finding the current height/firmness of the PSS9s to be too much so they will be getting raised/softened at some point. the only downside (if you can call it a downside) is the width of the s8 rims, currently im running 275 which looks great...

I'm on H&R's with 19's. It looks great but it's a damn hard ride. Am I right in saying the H&R's are adjustable?
