The only issue I had was the audio announcements once on a roundabout were wrong about 20% of the time. All diagrams and approach instructions work fine but once on the roundabout it says "take the 2nd exit" instead of "next exit". Basically the timing is flawed. They did realise a s/w update that's solved most 3G users problems but there's a number of us where it's not solved.

Since my car's 2 years 2 months old and is now only approaching 10k miles (usage dropped once we'd bought it) then it's not a major thing.... but it should work and it doesn't.

Now the face lifted A4 is coming with a new Nav there's no chance of them fixing it hence me takign £1k in compensation. It should work but I'd settle for the fault and £1000 if given the choice anyway. :bigblink:

Can anyone confirm if there's going to be a 2012 DVD and if so, when it is likely to come out?

Audi will almost certainly keep issuing new DVDs at least until they stop selling new cars using the RNS-E, and since the 8P A3, 8J TT & the R8 (which all use the RNS-E) are still in production I very much doubt that 2011 will be the last one.

They're very definitely still making the RNS-E, you'll hear people refering to the pre-2010 RNS-E (as is fitted to the RS4) and the 2010+ RNS-E (which has a higher resolution screen and works with SDHC cards), both use the same maps.

ah great, thought it would be redundant, could the newer one be retrofitted? our units work with SD cards, do you mean for films?

wouldnt mind fitting a reversing camera and bluetooth to mine but unsure what to get

My mates got a reverse camera on his '09 Golf GTi. He only uses it to oggle birds when they walk past.

I hate the NAV. The voice is naff, it repeats instructions too often and sends me on the weirdest routes.

Shame they can't get a Tomtom unit permanently fixed.

Yes, I've got a 2010+ RNS-E in my RS4, BUT you have to find a spare A4 faceplate (or swap the one on your existing RNS-E) and fit it yourself as the newer one isn't available in A4 form.

No, the SD (SDHC) cards are for Mp3 files ONLY.

Try looking on audiforum.us, several people have fitted the reversing camera using the Audi camera and a Kufatec IMA Plus multimedia adapter.
Bluetooth is an easy retrofit (takes about 1 1/2 hours) using the harness from Kufatec to fit the OE module behind the glovebox.
