Anyone know how much the C6 set up costs approximately?

I am an Audi Addict !!

Yes I've just PM'd Mr Mule...
They're a great alternative to OEM (Audi) discs, and at £300 a pair, great value too.
I've done 2x UK Track days (Brands Hatch and Snetterton) and 5x laps of the Ring with them, in the last 6 months and they worked fine, eh DK ?
The dia and thickness are the same, but the offset is different. But all you need do is swap over the hats between the new Phaeton discs and your old C5 discs when you're ready to change over, and hey presto...

Re: Brake Discs
The C5 RS doesn't have a removable hat. The OEM disc is held via pins. Stumps, I read it was a 6mm difference, which direction, in or out?
There are a couple of options for hats that do fit the C5. One guy on here had gone down the floating disc route... search is your friend.

Sorry, can't recall (vs B7 RS4) - no idea for C5 RS6.

Re: Brake Discs
Quote from another forum:
"Phaeton 15.56mm offset
RS4 2.56mm offset
This is the offsets on the hats, so this disc will be ~13mm more inset on the phaeton.
IIRC the RS6 disc is only ~6mm more inset than RS4"
Mule, you'll need to get some replacement bells for these to fit the C5.

Re: Brake Discs
It might be easier to modify the caliper rails to suit. Depending on the offset, you might just need some spacers.

Re: Brake Discs
Have I understood correctly Shop? So some 7mm spacers (based on quote from other forum comps of bam) between disc and hub and the phaeton disc will work?

Re: Brake Discs
You have to get your height / girth / diameter / whatever you call to see how it would present. Maybe spacers would do it, or a simple adapter plate.
Anyway, isn't spacers what people use to get the rear phaeton disks on?

Re: Brake Discs
Yes about 3mm gets you in the centre of the caliper. But this spacer/washer steps the carrier of the caliper out (actually in to the car), not the disc itself.
You're proposing a similar approach? 7mm is a big spacer for the caliper. I think I'd prefer a solution for the disc itself.
Finding a replacement bell for the phaeton disc sounds like the better option... Bam? Only thing I dont get is that the Phaeton front discs I have seen do not have a bell which is bolted to the disc. So how does this get swapped over if it's one big unit?

Re: Brake Discs
The hat itself doesn't look very complicated. Probably wouldn't cost much* to get one machine to the right dimensions;
(* everything is relative. Might cost more than you are willing to spend)
