Suggestions for keeping your RS4 in tip-top form

I'm just trying to build a list of tips on keeping your RS4 in tip-top condition. Having spent many hours on the forum, i've got the following so far:

1. Use decent fuel (like Shell V-Power)

2. Get the wheels aligned

3. Switch to fixed service intervals

4. Get the latest software update (SW0090)

5. Use decent tyres (eg. Goodyear F1 Eagle Asymmetrics)

Any others?

Drive it as an every day car. Let it warm up gently to full engine temperature and then take it for long runs using the full rev range including some motorway driving. And don't be afraid to give the brakes some punishment either every now and again.

Are supermarket super plus fuels (e.g. Tesco Momentum 99 & Sainsburys Super Plus) considered decent fuel? Any views as currently tends to be supermarket fuel that I use but always super plus and not std unleaded. Or should I steer clear?

I read an article some time ago and the consensus was Tesco 99 (Momentum) was superior to the Shell equivalent. Can't remember what the exact criteria was for measurement (increase in hp, fuel efficiency, or something else)

Doesn't Tesco 99 have a (relatively) high ethanol content to get it to 99-RON classification?

I used Tesco 99 for 10k in my B7 ... Brilliant

The B7 LOVES to rev, so ring its neck out when warm

Wash and wax regularly, espcially in salty weather

Keep an eye on oil as some love to drink it

Change oil every 5k if possible ... Should only cost £150

Check and set the correct tyre pressures regularly.

Halve the service intervals for oil, plugs and air filter
Clay bar the paint each summer
Lubricate exhaust flap linkages
If you have buckets, chose carefully how you get in and out of the car

I would use shell remember when dirty supermarket fuels fucked loads of cars up couple of years ago

Regularly take the "scenic route" home and drive it hard when you do.

I used to use Momentum 99 all the time and it may be that just a change of fuel has perked the car up, however at present my RS prefers V-Power. Just feels throttle sharper and still returns similar mpg.

Could be the cold weather P-G?? Mine goes like stink when the air temp is freezing!!
