Front fogs removal?...

Post by xyber » Thu Sep 30, 2010 7:59 pm

My bad temper has beaten me, probably shouldn't have attempted it in the dark haha

Do you remove the plastic trim (I got the screw out but couldn't remove it?!)

Undo 2 screws on the outside edge of the lamp

Done

Thanks

Turn flat head screw 90 degrees

Slide grill towards the centre of the bumper and then push inwards slightly to release clip

Remove 2 torx screws

Pull out lamp

And after all that the bulbs caused bulb errors so now I'll have to modify the bulbs because there's no way I'm going to cut into the main cable. So 100w 3.6 ohm resistors with heat sinks have been ordered

Is that something that can be modified in the cars software perhaps instead? VagCom'd?

I don't think it is, but even if it was I wouldn't delete it because it's quite useful, but it's an easy fix, you just wire in a resistor to simulate the power usage of a bulb element.
