THANKS FOR THE PIC.
i read on another forum about the copper exhaust, must have looked awsome
we can do a full system Turbo back or cat back and ideally get all your views on how it should be built before getting a couple of samples done. i already sell an electric valve for exhaust systems but i feel a better design would be needed for the RS6. one that re routed the flow through a baffle or direct exit.

So when the electric switch is used, the rear tailpipes would silence, and the side exit stub sized exhausts in the left and right sills would bellow V8 sound like a Nascar racer? Sounds more appealing by the day!!
Having done a little digging i have found that these systems may not be all they are cracked up to be,
They sound amazing, But
a) Car looses serious power
b) Way to much Drone inside the car for every day driving
Most may be able to live with the Drone inside the car but the loss of power is not what every RS6 owner really wants

HMS has a good reputation for their remaps over here and their exhausts are of best quality (and they WILL fit). Not the cheapest option, but worth every euro and they sure sound brutal. And afaik they're the only ones doing flaps with an oval end and not only twin pipes. 3600 euros with black ovals
The most popular are certainly Milltek, MTM (top gear) and BN-Pipes. Flap exhausts are rare, most are custom build by some regional shops, these would be difficult to export I guess. Go find a known local good shop and talk them into doing an RS version is probably the way to go . Also while the TÜV thing is quite needed here, I'm not too sure about any paperwork required to legally fit these in the UK.
I'm still on the original and want to change (if I can stack up enough € in between repairs). So still looking myself but it certainly won't be anything without flaps.
