What comes after?

Post by Shoppinit » Tue Mar 02, 2010 8:14 pm

Just looking at M3's which I quite fancy "for the wife" and the performance figures aren't spectacular if you're used to an RS6. Then it occured to me that there aren't many cars that have the same or better performance as the RS6.

If you were to upgrade (I don't think I'll ever sell the 6) what would be the car of choice?

I think I'd want something with brutal power like a C63 AMG. Possibly a sorted B5 RS4.

Money no object then the sky's the limit....

I wouldn't mind a V12 Kleeman Twin Supercharged 6.5 litre Merc.

Has to be a realistic alternative. Say, in terms of price £35k max.

Mercedes Sprinter van in white.

They always overtake me no matter what speed I'm doing.

They're AWESOME.

No - seriously - Cayenne Turbo or Turbo S, or C6 RS6 Avant.

C6 RS6, RS5, or R8 when the prices come down enough.

Drove the new XKR - awesome machine and amazing sound.

I would add - M6 / 911 - but I don't really need the space.

I agree on that Bemmer M6 call, very tempting... but I'll not get rid of the '6.
When that Lotus Exige 260 cup drops in price, that'd be perfect, not a lot left to do for trackafication, what's not to like?

Not a fan of the C6, too fewer curves and about 15% less dramatic... maybe it'll age well.

This subject is a real quandry for me. I now have my dream car for the last 3 years and to be honest it was a bit of an anti-climax - not because the car was a let down (it is AWESOME), but because i now have nothing to look forward to.
Some of the suggestions are great, but unfortunately out of my league. So where do I go from here - i'm thinking maybe something just for the track - elise maybe, and a diesel focus for the road, as the missis still has the family car - A6 tdi avant.

If money were no object, my third car would be a difficult choice between a classic aircooled 993 turbo or a modern 997 (Mk2) turbo, and I'd keep both the 4 and the 6.

Yes, seriously
