The struts are swopped across when MoVits are fitted, otherwise you have to pay £600 for new ones Image.
Only Problem is if you sell the car they must be sold on it.

These are just the rear struts for the movit set up as they are machined slightly

However as Toasty has an S4 I thought he would have to change his front struts to accept the RS4 discs???

Although not totally sure

What discs and calipres have you got Steve?

I heard from AP Racing and was quoted around £1600 but on RS4.org a few comments were made that they did not wear as well as the Movits?

Well I'm getting a second hand set of Brembo's which as they make all the others anyway I'm pleased.

Will check on S4 compatiability first obviously.

i bought the 6pots + discs(continuous groove type) separately then i used my local brake manufacturer to make the brackets and bells, bells made out of "hard alloy" allowing for different heat dissipation away from disc, on the ap kit the bell is made from same material so keeps the heat longer: as alloy cools quicker the disc temp is lower. clever stuff!

will make some enquires into prices, time of manufacturer. what material are your bells made of at the minute? not possible on standard disc as one piece, would be possible on after market setup: im also at minute having some rear ap discs made up to run with the standard calipers.

Maybe I've been lucky with the Sportec 380mm (Brembo rear), no warped discs or problems of any kind after 22k miles and lots of trackdays, there again I do tend to maintain/service them regularly, even if its just a clean and prep of the pad/disc surface - maybe that's the key?

In any case they all should have a reasonable lifespan in terms of quality and finish, maybe we're asking too much?

Steve, looking forward to seeing your AP's up close, especially in terms of quality and performance compared to us Porsche/Brembo/Movit/Sportec clones Image
