Happening in a FSI engine near you...now!
Aren't cars in the US mis-firing on account of the issue or don't they count?LOL........ not exactly words to that effect!! As it stands at present they don’t see it as being a major problem if it's not effecting the drive of the car, i.e misfiring etc. What they are looking to do is open up a RS4 they have with around 20k on the clock and see what's going on in there.
Why not save them the bother and post pippyrip's pictures? His car has 19K on it. Even better, send them Caldy's pictures. He has 3K on his car.
What a surprise. But unfortunately for now they don’t see it as a major problem.
Curiously, at what point would they consider the issue a major problem?
What do they suggest then?I questioned that in the long run it would get worse and damage the engine?? the reply was that Audi would be more worried about the effects of spraying substances such as Wynns or remapping the cars in the long run far more than this......
Just leave the car to coke/oil itself up???

You had a C6 RS6 that priduced on an r/r its quoted output?Blue_Thunder wrote:It was 303bhp at the flywheel!SR71 wrote:Thats at the wheels surely?
The other 12 cars running (B5's, C5, C6 and a Porsche) on the day all produced expected figures, so i've no reason to see why the B7 result would have been inaccurate.
My B5 produced 411bhp which was only 3bhp off the figure calculated by dividing my peak MAF reading (which I took during my RR run) by 0.8. A rough rule of thumb MRC use for the B5's.
Keeping tabs on this thread, have a 2.0TFSI and this past winter it has been having some hesitations with a misfire back in early December. Haven't had a misfire since then but I noticed that shortly after the car starts up it seems to skip a beat but runs fine afterward.
Of course my warranty expired and I never got around to getting the CPO warranty. Appears that the bill to do whatever cleaning procedure is $400USD on a A4 3.2FSI.

Agreed most aren't 4WD but surely the B5's, C5 and C6's that people would bother to RR would be S4, RS4, S6 or RS6?PetrolDave wrote:The majority of B5 A4's are NOT 4WD, only some are quattro - the B5 S4 and B5 RS4 are 4WD but the post just says B5...SR71 wrote:4WD?
B5's, C5's and C6's are all 4WD.
Similarly most C5 and C6 A6's are NOT 4WD, with the exception of the S6 and RS6 - but the post just says C5 & C6...

Cant wait until MRC take the head of Pippy's car after the initial run in period.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
