Hi ,does anyone have experience with Lockheed brake pads for the RS2? Secondly when would be the time to replace suspension bushes and would powerflex bushes be the best option?thanks

No advice on the pads, Seemo, but with the bushes I suggest you take the car to one of the specialists and get them to tell you what needs replacing.

Some owners are absolute perfectionists and would advise a complete restoration of the suspension. This is admirable and doubtless very satisfying. When I investigated the costs, however, it was a bit rich for my blood. One of the companies I approached, ACS in Andover, suggested the car didn't need a complete suspension overhaul and replaced just those things that needed replacing.

On the strength of this philosophy, I now treat the maintenance of the whole car using the Forth Bridge analogy: work through it from end to end then start again. The car is back with ACS at the moment for a second look at the bushes. The total cost of both visits will be less than a complete rework.

Original equipment wherever possible is my advice. Others will be along any moment with further comments I feel sure :D

i would say,get textar pads, which are the best compromise in perfomance and squeel and as far as the bushes are concerned, there are 4 for the front and about 18 for the rear(without counting the subframe ones).

I would say that if you want them to be done once and over with,do it.The fronts get more beating but are easier to replace. The rear ones are more difficult to replace, but the car transforms after that.Mine lasted about 10-13 years so i assume that it is better off replacing them all at once, rather than going fishing to what is damaged or not.

Powerflex are very good, more precise than OEM and make the car more solid. However too solid for my likeing.

Ferodo DS 2500 pads are the beat IMHO. Used EBC & textar over the years.
Suspension OEM. Porsche/Audi did get the best compromise.
