How many have had shocks replaced
Mine has been in for the last 4 days for the Front shocks... rung today to see if could collect and they tell me all is done but due to a hydraulic leak during replacement they need to order more fluid, which is on dreaded BACK ORDER! when will i get my car back? what are the chances the work will have been done correctly?

Had my front shocks replaced 800miles ago and guess what ................................. My car is back at another Audi Dealer today saying both front shocks are leaking badly and need to be replaced !!! WTF is going on !! Really don't expect to pay £45k for a car and have all this crap !!! Oh and also there is some flaking on my alloys but the dealer is saying all my whhels have been refirbed already so they would not sort under warranty !! As i have only had the car 5 months i can not say if the wheels have been refirbed previously or not !!!

Could not agree with you more ARSEY4. I have been in contact with Jeremy Hicks and also my local dealer he has told me that they are looking into it in great details and why it is happening to one car repeatedly and some cars seem immune to the problem. We will see what happens.I think its more getting the info communicated to Audi. You have bags of figures and quotes on this site, a poll and a list and various other DRC related posts. Th important thing is to get it communicated.
You have to laugh, the old cliche about the British hate to complain is true.

Well, looks as though I'm joining the club - front shocks (at least) need replacing, just under 10,000 miles done from new (6,500 or so in my ownership) - car (an Avant) was registered in March 2007.
No symptoms that I could tell (apart from, maybe, a very slight tendency to tramline)- certainly no knocking from the rear or pitching forward under braking; car goes back to dealership in mid-October for work to be done.
I guess I might need to send "the letter" now.

Me too
That's me joined the DRC members list and only 6800 on the clock.
I must admit Aberdeen Audi were pretty dam good. A lot better that the last time I was in with my S3. I popped in past to speak to the service advisor and mentioned that the car felt like it was wallowing a bit, and that I had noticed a slight weep/misting of oil around the shocks. The info was passed on to the RS4 tech and he suggested it was booked in for 2 days. Dropped the car off on Wednesday morning and picked it up on Thursday evening. (Front shocks changed) I even got a loan of an A5 1.8T. After speaking to the tech, he mentioned that it was a common thing with RS4’s and that a number of them from the Aberdeen area had been in and had them replaced.
I was wondering about the extended warranty? Is the letter sent out after the repair has been carried out, or only after you send a letter of complaint to Audi UK?
