With all the quattro Audis I've had (S3, 2 x B6 S4, B7 RS4) the difference in wear rate between front and rear is so minimal that there's no benefit swapping front and rear.

surely the shoulders of your front tyres wear quicker than the rears?

I'd have agreed about Quattro tyre wear until the B7 RS4. Both sets i've been through have shown around 25% more wear on the fronts than the rears & i check the pressures weekly.

similar results with my fronts compared to the rears also

Yep, I regularly keep an eye on the pressures but the fronts are definitely wearing quicker than the rears at present, (with the front nearside showing the most which I’m putting down to roundabouts as mentioned previously.)

I had the alignment checked when they went on so at least I know its pointing straight!

Well, I had my goodyears fitted yesterday (275/30/19) and I have to say I'm not very impressed. They feel alot more 'squidgy' that the PS2's, almost like there's not enough pressure in them even though there all set to 36 psi. Certainlly not as grippy so far.

Pressure is too low - try 39 front 37 backs - this will sort it out ;)

I felt the same at first, but now nearly a week later the 'squidginess' has disappeared.

Cheers guys. Marcus, I'll give that a try as they do feel under inflated but I was going by the recommendations of the tyre fitters (not saying I trust them, afterall they haven't got the balance right either). Dave, sounds promising, thanks!

I was filled with 36 all round as this was advised upon fitting of the F1's, however folk on here said 38 so i upped them & they feel great. Defo better then the OEM P Zeros & so far appear better then the PS2's i had on the RS6 & M5. Plenty of grip & the road noise/ride is much improved.

Another satisfied convertee to Goodyear 275/30's Cost all in was £720, £680 for four tyres from mytyres.co.uk and £40 for fitting and disposal from local fitter.

Turn in is much better as is road noise and wet handling over Conti SC3's. Running on 38 all round but I don't believe after 400 miles thay are fully scrubbed yet and giving their fuill potential..

Same here. Have had mine a couple of months now, & with more miles they get better...IMHO they feel gr8t compared to my previous PZero Rosso's.

I am running 39 front, 38 rear, I found this gave e optimum turn in, without inducing unnecessary under steer... 1psi makes all the difference ;) lol
