Brake Fluid
Gents
What grade brake fluid are you using. I currently have std brake setup (which i assume is dot 4) and it is due for change.
I would like to go down the upgrade route (disc's and/or calipers) in the future but for now have to stick with the std setup
Having changed brake lines on most of my bikes in the past and noticed the differance partially down to the fact i've gone for goodridge lines and the fact i normally use dot 5 when i change.
I was wondering if this was a beneficial change due to the higher spec of dot 5
Cheers in advance
Mike

What are the actual benefits of DOT5.1 over DOT4? I am currently running Pentosin Racing fluid at the moment which has only been in a couple of weeks, but I need to fit a new fluid reservoir later in the week and bleed them through again - I am all out of the Pentosin so may as well put 5.1 in if there is some gains.
. S4 Nogaro Blue Avant . ECS IV . RS4 handling bits . 18" Ultraleggera . AWE Boost Gauge . MRC Custom Map . 315 BHP . 482 Nm .
I've seen dot4 bubble out of an rs6 and set fire to leaves and debris in the bulkhead, luckily I was armed with a bottle of fanta, that was cheaper for my pals to replace than the RS6. Was in the Ring carpark, a good few people hurried to move there motors out of fire fear

S4 Crazy Horse. Ringsticker & MRC black magic.
I've got cartrol srf , but it's only dot 4 and very expecive . Going to try 5.1 next ..
