Ahh nightmare... guess all dealers are the same - Audi or BMW or whoever... all are likely to make mistakes. I guess its how they handle the aftermath that is important. Lets hope BMW get it right.

If you get a new M5... man oh man, a drag race then would be VERY interesting!! I would expect to lose? But who knows :P

I have run at pod before with just an MTM chip and Miltek and I managed like a 13.8 - but I had a leaking F-Hose so that certainly didn't help matters.

Since the MRC 500 I have run using a G-Force meter and I managed 4.4 to 60 and a 12.8 @ 128MPH... I should really be in the 3's and low 12's, but I need to string my gear changes better.

Last time I ran I got a mid 16's, but then I was in a MKIV diesel Golf

This time I'm expecting low 14's for the 8P S3? Think that should be reasonable with the decent grip from a drag strip.

my second outing to pod in my 8L S3 could only get a 14.5 last time it was such a hot day and my airfilter wasn't helping matters!
new air filter should help and this time my indicator is coming out. to vent more cold air in.
should get the 265 ponies down the pod this time eating some rice cakes i hope!

I'm hoping to be early Graham. Gonna swing by a certain petrol station en-route too ;)

Can someone show me how to put the rear seats flat please ? I have a pen and a brolly I'd like stored whilst I run too. Sorry, did someone shout 'sad git' and 'loser' :biggrin3:

I am debating ditching the audio install for my runs... just dont know if I can be bothered - it is a right pain :(. Cant get rid of the dynamat unfortunately.

I still suffer from lack of power on first start when my car is hot - noticed it for the first time just two days ago - I had thought the MRC500 treatment had cured it - I hope leaving the engine running in the queue will not cause the same thing

Leave it in Leon, your car is your car. It's not a drag car is a serious street machine so run it as one sound system and all!

An Evo owner told me to pop the bonnet whilst qeueing and also mentioned taking a spray bottle with a water/meths (not sure but something like that) mixture to spray on your IC if it's accessible prior to your turn. No idea if it's good advice or not. Anything to help the heatsoak must be I suppose.

Leon, you may win against Woddy's M5 by default if the garage don't get it back to him in time!

I am without a doubt confident that 9 times out of 10(the other 1 times covers for drivers error) I would be quicker than the M5 in a straight line... that is not my concern... my concern is getting a reasonable time. Spent all this money - if I crack a 13 I may be suicidal :P

Time I tore out my audio install anyway to get it professionally done. It was only meant to be a temp thing as it is now

I know its a lowly B7, but I am sure it would be fun to put some myths to rest!
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
