S4 and bendy wheels
Hi there,
I've been doing a fair bit of reading up on S4/RS4's with a view to buying soon. I've decided to go for an S4, but am slightly concerned with the 'bendy wheels' topics relating to the RS4.
Does the S4 suffer from the same problem?
thanks in advance

RE: S4 and bendy wheels
No, the S4 ones are pretty strong. They are 7.5 x 17 and run 45 series tyre as standard, compared to the RS4 with 8.5 x 18 on 35 series tyres - big difference.
I seem to have amassed a garage full of wheels if you ever need one

Thanks David, that's good to know.

RE: S4 and bendy wheels
For clarification, apparently the bending of the RS4 Avus wheels was intentional for safety reasons. After a LOT of intervention by RS4 owners they got a lifetime warranty on them and then Audi introduced a less bendy version. So as David states, this did not affect the S4 at all.
The S4 has its own problems so I suggest you do a lot of reading here - everything you need to know is on this site!

RE: S4 and bendy wheels
Definitely - I'm compiling a checklist this week.
Glad to be able to dismiss the wheel issue.

In all seriousness David how many do you have? If the answer is somewhere on the site then I apologise beforehand as I haven't done a search.DavidT wrote:No, the S4 ones are pretty strong.
