Did you have to make caliper brackets up or did you use the stock caliper mounts, also what heat shields have you used?
I have two RS4 dust shield's on order - but if you wanted to be rough you could modify the std S4 ones

The remap can wait TBH, can't be doing with the agro :o :)

As for suspension, i have a friend (that you also know) that has a frien that can supply Koni coilovers .......... inafew months we shall see .

What happenedto my "i'll leave this one std, i'll not touch it apart from the brakes" hey !!!!
It is definitely an addiction (modding)...know exactly what you mean. I couldn't help myself with the M400 either.

I've vowed to leave the RS4 standard but I just know the minute I get it I'll want a miltek.

You must put up some pics of it with the coilovers when you get them done....and the supercharger

Not sure I would change the suspention if using the car as a daily drive.

The ride and handling is very good standard far better than a standard older 2.7 S4. I have fitted a pair of H+R B7 RS4 roll bars to my V8 S4 very good much improved. Along with a decent set of BBS Lms to house the direct fit RS4 brakes.

I might try that then, as i'm happy enough with the ride height.

dunno, we'll see how the funds are going :D

A quick question (mostly aimed at Corey) about wheel spacers.

I've also always thought the S4 looked a little narrow in it's stance, could this be adjusted easily by just using spacers and keping the standard Avus alloy? Are there any downside to this? Extra strain on the wheel bearing maybe? What about the difference in length to the hub threads - surely the bold has 15mm less thread to grip onto?

Corey's away this week, but, i have the 10 mm spacer fitted(hubcentric) and the stance of the car is superb. They come with the correct size wheel bolts ect......
As for adverse effects, no problems to report but i can't see it putting too much strain on the bearings ect...; if they did they'd not sell any as people would get anoyed at replacing worn out parts before their time.

As above

You could fit a hub center 10mm spacer, say Eibach or H+R . Generally any spacer less than 10mm does not have the center lip for the wheel to mount on.

It should not put any extra loading in the components, it would be the same a lower et number wider wheel.

Ring or PM me if you need a set.

Sorry to dig up such an old thread folks but i have a question about the spacers Not Normal used.

I bought some Eibach 8mm spacers for my B6 S4 and found that as they don't have the collar i couldn't get them to seat quite how i wanted and found i got vibrations when into three figures. I resolved this by getting 5mm spacers but i'm not happy with the look they give and am now thinking that 10mm spacers are the way forward, provided they have a collar to seat the wheel on.

Can anyone advise?

Cheers

James

I don't think you'll find 5/6mm hubcentric spacers.....the hubcentric part is the collar.

I think 10mm will be the minimum. Or at least H&R supply 10mm hubcentric spacers.

You do get H&R 5mm Hubcentric spacers as well as 10mm. The 10mm ones are better for filling the arches and you shoudl get TUV bolts with them. One thing thousg, the H&R spacers are slightly smaller than the face of the hub whereas I hear MTM hubcentrics are exactly the same diameter as the hubs.

Looking at MTM spacers on the website, they seem to be very very similar to the H&R items if not the same

They are, just a bigger diameter in line with the wheel hub and more contact space for both hub and wheel.
