Well., started the car and bing bong tyre pressure warning .... check round the car and all seemed in order ... out with the guage ... left rear 5lbs down ... so as I rolled slowing bcakwards my son spots a screw dead centre in the tyre.

Off to Kwick Fit on Sunday 2.00pm ...

Point to note .. Monitor ...

Oh and this was free ??

Yes the pressure monitors are a great idea. Over the years with ultra low profile tyres I've found on occasion my tyre pressures to be low but all looked ok. You like to know about low presssure before you pounce into a corner!!!

OOo that sprint blue looks bonny...

Why does that colour look so bloody different on other models so much so that I didn't want to take the risk when ordering my RS4 and I went for the safer bet - Red. Mind you, the order form still has sprint blue and the salesman hasn't replied to my email querying the colour? Lucky dip!

Hi Andy911.
Did they scratch the alloy wheel while working on it.I find tyre centres in general are a little careless unless you stand over them,watching.I am thinking of buying a set of BBS CK wheels in anthracite finish.Do you know if I can use my original tyre pressure sensors?

they were careful .. however the correct procedure is this with tape ..

The TM should work ok, whatever the alloy

You may need different valves to mount the sensors on unless the wheel profile is similar.

The sensor bolts to the back of the valve and there are different valves for different wheels. The valves come in different lengths and fixing holes at different angles to suit most wheel types.

Mine bing bong from time to time, check them anf there is no drop in pressure, turns out to be part of the dis fault for which my dash was changed along with low oil warning.

I've never seen anyone use tape like that Vauxhall alloy picture... I'm paranoid that my spotless alloys will get buggered when I get new rears next month

Sadly, I'd pay say an extra £20 for extra time care and attention spent on each alloy.

I run mine at 36 front and 33 rear, not sure how that compares to recommended but seems to suit my car and driving style.

supposed to be 38 and 35 for the 19" wheels. any less will give you decent frip once warmed up but will be running about 10% less efficietly at Simple's pressures

run them at 38 and 35 and you will have damaged tyres, wheels and sore back on the country roads I use........... my car works fine at those pressures, but its a personal choice for the feeling and feedback the car gives.
