Is raising the fuel pressure an acceptable way of getting more out of stock injectors?

Would it cause issues with mapping? (custom remap)

You would get more out of your injectors (and probably better atomisation)
but you still need a fuel pump that can meet the flow rate and rail pressure.

So a better pump and a 5bar FPR could be a good move? If the tuner is happy to work with them

You need to be careful that the fuel system is upto the extra pressure. The would be my main concern. What is std fuel pressure?

I replied to this but my post seems to have vanished?

There must be quite a bit of cost involved in getting this done & also the map would have to be developed from scratch. I think it would be a good idea though... smaller injectors means better atomisation which means potentially better fuel economy... we would all be happy with that. I just think the costs of working on this would out weigh the cost of simply buying injectors?

Could do with Minhea or Doug to add to this however I can't see why this would be a problem. With my limited knowledge stock pump and 5bar FPR should be okay and cant see why MRC Co could not tweak your map to account for this?

You should actually be able to manually scale this. Get a MAF housing which is 25% bigger for instance.
